The Keller Estate 2018 Rôtie is a co-ferment of Syrah and Viognier, much like the wines of France's famed slopes of Côte Rôtie. Frankly, this is one of the best examples of this style we've ever tried from the U.S., as Keller's organic farming and unique micro-climate in the Petaluma Gap truly seem to showcase the best of both grapes.
Since taking over the reins in 1998, Ana Keller has guided this estate to near cult status amongst the most insightful Pinot Noir and Chardonnay collectors in the country. With Julien Teichmann in control of winemaking, the estate crafts wines truly reflective of terroir, resulting in balanced wines with grace and longevity. In 2013 Ana joined the Petaluma Gap WineGrowers Alliance's board and was instrumental in creating the Petaluma Gap American Viticultural Area (AVA) which was ultimately granted in 2018.
