Bob Wilson

CEO & Co-Founder

With over twelve years of experience, Bob got his start in the wine industry representing the portfolios of some of the largest wine and spirits suppliers in the world. Recognized by Crain's Chicago Business on their prestigious "Notable Entrepreneurs" list in 2020, Bob is passionate about entrepreneurship and spends time advising a number of local startups and non-profits. He lives in the Chicago suburbs with his wife, two daughters, and dog, Beaujolais, and coaches a local youth ice hockey team. Bob is a Certified Specialist of Wine (C.S.W.) accredited by the Society of Wine Educators and holds a B.S. in Finance, with a minor in Economics, from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

John Wilson

COO & Co-Founder

John is an expert in the complex and often misunderstood world of direct-to-consumer wine law, and is the architect of the unique process by which Winestyr facilitates direct-to-consumer sales by wineries. John holds a B.S. in Advertising from the University of Colorado at Boulder, as well as a J.D./M.B.A. from Loyola University Chicago. Prior to co-founding Winestyr, John worked at a general practice law firm in Chicago. He enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 sons, and also serves on the Board of Directors for a local youth hockey club as well as Loyola University Chicago's Council of Regents.

Scott Washburn

Chief Growth Officer & Co-Founder

Scott has an extensive background in sales and analytics, with a focus on e-commerce, and is obsessed with creating a seamless end-to-end experience for Winestyr customers. He's played an integral role in designing Winestyr's packaging, website, and user experience, as well as launching Winestyr's first fulfillment center in Sonoma, CA. Scott holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Prior to co-founding Winestyr, Scott was an early employee and sales executive at Groupon in Chicago. Scott enjoys BBQing on his Big Green Egg, listening to tech podcasts, and watching the Chicago Cubs.

William Whelan

Executive Vice President of Wine, Certified Sommelier

After more than eight years as an award-winning sports journalist for the likes of Yahoo! Sports and CBS, William pivoted to wine and never looked back, traveling coast to coast and working in nearly every corner of the industry. When he's not managing Winestyr's premium winery portfolio, you might find him watching his beloved Colorado Buffaloes while eating tacos and waxing poetic over the virtues of antique stemware. Will is a Certified Sommelier accredited by the Court of Master Sommeliers.

Emily Jamison

Vice President of Customer Success

Emily brings 10 years of sales and relationship management experience to Winestyr. Her training with the Court of Masters Sommelier program and knowledge of Winestyr's premium wine portfolio allows her to provide an exceptional experience to customers. Emily is a natural people pleaser so Customer Experience is a perfect fit. She enjoys problem solving and, of course, making people happy. Emily holds a degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her free time is spent running around with her toddler. She enjoys cooking, playing the violin, and seeing the world through the eyes of a 2 year old!

Tim Wilson

Vice President of Fulfillment

Tim has over 5 years of experience as Winestyr's VP of Fulfillment, during which time he has become an industry expert in best practices for direct-to-consumer (DTC) wine shipping and logistics. He worked as a mechanic prior to joining Winestyr, and can arguably fix anything with a motor. Tim enjoys camping, hiking, drag racing, and watching his son play hockey in his spare time.
