The Adelsheim 2018 Staking Claim Charonnay showcases just how expertly winemaker Gina Hennen treat this grape up in Oregon. It's made with a traditional touch, barrel fermenting and aging the wine in about one-third new oak for 12 months. The result is a wine of esteem and purity, the kind of lusciousness dreams are made of.
Adelsheim (pronounced Addels-Heim) was founded in 1971 by David and Ginny Adelsheim with one pursuit: to create world-class wines in the undiscovered wine region that would later become Chehalem Mountains AVA, a venerable subregion of Oregon's famous Willamette Valley. One of the original, most influential, and most important producers of the region, Adelsheim has a long track record of producing some of the finest Burgundian-style Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays produced domestically. We're very proud to add some of their most exclusive wines to our portfolio.
